Born in 卯, the second month of spring, with a water Day Master. 休 — resting, and more completely than in 寅.
卯 is a cardinal branch containing only 乙 wood. Where 寅 held fire and earth to complicate the picture, 卯 holds nothing but the thing drawing on you. Mid-spring is wood at full strength and undiluted, and a water Self here is producing continuously into a month that gives nothing back.
《窮通寶鑑》 reads the second month as damp and rising, and for a water Day Master the classical concern is depletion rather than attack. Nothing in 卯 is hostile. It simply takes.
