A wood Day Master born in 卯, the rabbit month
The month pillar is the strongest single influence on whether a Day Master is supported. 卯 is the second month of spring; it opens at 驚蟄 Insects Awaken, around 5 March, and runs to about 4 April.

What the month does to the Day Master
Born in 卯, the second month of spring, with a wood Day Master. 得令 — the Self holds the mandate, and holds it more purely here than anywhere else.
卯 contains one thing only: 乙 wood. Every other branch in the twelve carries two or three hidden stems, and the four that are pure — 子 卯 午 酉 — are called the cardinal branches for that reason. A wood Self born in 卯 has nothing diluting it and nothing else inside the month to work with.
That purity cuts both ways, which is why 《窮通寶鑑》 treats the second month differently from the first. 寅 came with its own fire; 卯 does not. Mid-spring is wood at full strength with no warmth of its own, and the classical reading calls for fire from elsewhere in the chart to open it, and for metal to give it a shape rather than let it simply keep growing.
Said plainly: this is a strong Self with no built-in outlet. Charts like this are read for what releases them, not for what supports them, and adding more wood or more water here makes the structure heavier rather than better.
The mandate is a structural fact. What follows from it is decided by what else stands in the chart.

The four pillars, the Day Master, the five-phase count, the day’s almanac read against the chart and the true solar time working — about 2,700 words — are free and need no account. The chart is computed in the browser; nothing about the birth is sent anywhere.
