What the month does to the Day Master
Born in 丑, the last month of winter, with a fire Day Master. 休 by the table, since 丑 is an earth month and fire produces earth — but the formal verdict understates the position and the reason is temperature.
丑 holds 己 earth, 癸 水 and 辛 metal, and it is the 金庫, the vault of metal. Frozen wet ground, water inside it, metal banked. For a fire Self there is nothing supporting in the branch and there is cold in every part of it.
《窮通寶鑑》 reads the twelfth month as the deepest point of the year's climate problem, and the answer it gives does not vary: warmth first, and nothing substitutes for it.
