What the month does to the Day Master
Born in 申, the first month of autumn, with a metal Day Master. 得令 — the Self holds the mandate, and autumn is your quarter.
申 holds 庚 metal, 壬 水 and 戊 earth. Your own phase leads, your output follows, and earth sits underneath producing more. It is a complete branch for your phase and there is nothing in it working against you.
《窮通寶鑑》 reads early autumn as the turn from heat to cold, and for a metal Day Master holding the mandate the classical instruction is not support. It is fire — 「得火而銳」, with fire it takes an edge — and water, 「得水而清」, with water it runs clean. Raw metal at full strength is ore until something works it.
