A 水 Water Day Master and a 水 Water Day Master
The first thing the tradition settles about two charts is not sentiment but direction: which way the traffic runs between the two Day Masters. Here it is 比和 — parity.

The two Day Masters
Both Day Masters stand in one phase, which the tradition calls 比和 bǐhé — parity. Yours is Water, and so is theirs. Neither produces the other, neither controls the other. In every other pairing the five phases specify a direction of traffic; here they specify none, and with this phase in particular the absence of a direction is the entire subject.
《滴天髓》 gives the rule for anything concentrated in a single phase: 天全一氣,不可使地德莫之載 — "where heaven is complete in one breath, one must not allow the virtue of earth to fail in carrying it." The instruction is about support, not about the phase. One thing filling everything is not a fault. It is a load, and it requires something underneath it that will bear the weight. In this configuration the two of you must find that somewhere other than in each other.
What you have is comprehension without procedure. Neither of you needs the other's mood explained, both of you read a room before it has said anything, and the household adapts to bad news with a speed that people of other phases find slightly unnerving. Trouble is not met here; it is gone around, by both of you, at the same time, usually without discussion.
The cost is that nothing between you has a bank. Water added to water does not make two things, it makes more water, and there is no surface where one leaves off and the other begins. Nothing in the configuration says no, sets an hour, or closes a question. Depth is easily mistaken for direction, and a pairing of this kind can go very deep and nowhere at all: matters raised and not resolved, positions felt strongly and never stated, an accumulating volume of things understood on both sides and settled on neither. There is no quarrel to point at, which is precisely why it can run for a decade. The classics do not treat this as a poor match; they treat it as unbanked, and the remedy in the text is external: form has to be brought in from outside, because neither party will supply it.
Something to check rather than assume. Name a question that first came up two years ago, has never been decided, and has never been dropped.

The four pillars, the Day Master, the five-phase count, the day’s almanac read against the chart and the true solar time working — about 2,700 words — are free and need no account. The chart is computed in the browser; nothing about the birth is sent anywhere.
