A wood Day Master born in 戌, the dog month
The month pillar is the strongest single influence on whether a Day Master is supported. 戌 is the last month of autumn; it opens at 寒露 Cold Dew, around 8 October, and runs to about 7 November.

What the month does to the Day Master
Born in 戌, the last month of autumn, with a wood Day Master. Formally 囚 — the Self confines itself by restraining an earth month — and 戌 is the least hospitable of the four earth months for you.
戌 holds 戊 earth, 辛 metal and 丁 fire, and it is the 火庫, the vault of fire. Dry ground, residual metal, banked heat. For a wood Self that combination offers nothing directly: nothing in the branch produces you and nothing stores you.
《窮通寶鑑》 reads the ninth month as the closing of autumn, when the ground has gone hard and the cold has not fully arrived. The season's own shortage is moisture, and for a wood Self that shortage and your own coincide — water is the answer to both, which is a rare alignment and the most useful fact in this block.
Practically: this chart wants water first and wood second, and it wants very little else. Additional earth makes the ground harder, additional metal continues the autumn, and the fire banked in 戌 is enough on its own.
The month is not with you. That is a structural statement about which supports carry weight, and the classics attach no forecast to it whatsoever.
