A metal Day Master born in 亥, the pig month
The month pillar is the strongest single influence on whether a Day Master is supported. 亥 is the first month of winter; it opens at 立冬 Start of Winter, around 7 November, and runs to about 7 December.

What the month does to the Day Master
Born in 亥, the first month of winter, with a metal Day Master. 休 — resting. Metal produces water, and in a water month the Self spends itself into the season continuously.
亥 holds 壬 water and 甲 wood. Your output leads the branch and your work sits behind it. Nothing in 亥 attacks you and nothing supports you either; the month simply draws.
《窮通寶鑑》 is unambiguous about winter for every Day Master — the shortage is warmth — and for metal the classical phrasing is unusually specific. 《滴天髓》 gives 「寒則喜丁」 for 辛 and the same logic runs through the winter months for the phase: what a cold metal Self wants is a measured fire, not a large one, and earth beneath it to replace what the water is taking.
What follows: earth is load-bearing here and fire is wanted in the amount that warms rather than the amount that melts. Additional water continues the drain, however naturally the month supplies it.
Resting rather than controlled, and the distinction matters. You are being spent, not opposed, and the later sections are read differently for the two cases even though both count as 失令.
